Michael held the title of President, Skyline Industrial REIT from 2014-2022 and was responsible for all aspects of the REIT’s strategic growth and performance. He joined Skyline with 29 years of experience in acquisitions, asset and property management, and corporate leadership across multiple sectors in the real estate industry. Previous to Skyline, Michael was a founding partner and Chief Operating Officer at a Toronto-based private equity fund manager for ten years, where he played a pivotal role in the growth of that firm from inception to approximately $1 billion in real estate assets under management. Michael directed both the acquisitions and operations of the corporation and played a key role in the development of Fund strategies for its institutional client base.
Michael also previously held the role of President of O&Y Enterprise Property Management, Canada’s largest provider of third-party property management services, managing in excess of $8 billion in real estate assets across Canada in the industrial, office, retail and multi-residential sectors.
Michael’s strong background in commercial real estate ownership, and his years of experience growing real estate businesses, positioned him well to lead the growth and success of Skyline Industrial REIT. His eight years of experience as President of the REIT makes him an invaluable asset to the REIT’s Board of Trustees.
